CQC registration in progress

About us

Showing the way to better care in Hull and East Yorkshire.

Waymark Care Services is a Hull-based care company providing care staffing today and preparing to launch home care once our CQC registration is granted.

Our story

Why we started Waymark.

Too often, care feels rushed, inconsistent and hard to navigate for the people receiving it, for families, and for the managers trying to keep services staffed.

We founded Waymark Care Services Limited in Hull to do things differently: to recruit carefully, plan properly and communicate clearly. We run two closely linked services: a care staffing service supplying vetted care workers to care homes and supported living providers, and a home care service that will launch once our registration with the Care Quality Commission is complete.

Both are built on the same foundations: the right people, thoroughly checked, well trained and properly supported.

What we stand for

Our values guide every decision we make.

Five words. Five commitments. Every member of the Waymark team is held to them, not as a poster on a wall, but as the standard we work to every day.

01

Guided

Clear direction and a consistent presence at every step of someone's journey.

02

Trustworthy

We do what we say. Our workers are vetted, trained and supervised to a high standard.

03

Person-centred

Every individual has a unique story. We listen first and never apply a one-size-fits-all approach.

04

Professional

Rigorous standards in training, conduct, compliance and communication. Always.

05

Improving

We seek feedback, act on it, and never stand still. Good is our starting point, not our ceiling.

How we work

Safer recruitment, every time.

Whether a worker is joining a care home shift or visiting someone at home, they go through the same thorough process before they start.

For care home managers

We share a compliance profile for every worker before their first shift with you, so your own records for CQC Regulations 18 and 19 are complete.

Application and interviewEvery candidate completes a full application and a values-based interview, so we understand their experience and motivation.
Identity and right to workWe verify identity and right to work in the UK against original documents, in line with Home Office guidance.
Enhanced DBS checkEvery worker has an enhanced DBS check with a check of the adults' barred list before they work with us.
References and historyWe follow up two references ourselves and ask for a full employment history with any gaps explained.
Training and inductionMandatory training covering safeguarding, moving and handling, infection prevention, medication awareness and more, before a first shift.
Ongoing supervisionRegular supervision, spot checks and feedback keep standards high long after someone joins.

Where we work

Local to Hull. Serving the East Riding.

Our office is at West One Business Village on West Dock Street, Hull. We cover the city of Hull and surrounding East Riding communities including Hessle, Cottingham, Beverley, Anlaby, Willerby and Hedon.
